Humane Society of Harrisburg - Home

Attention HSHA Supporters, this Saturday, October 20, the vaccine clinic is cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience but hope to see you at next week's clinic on Saturday, October 27 hosted at Hamilton Health Center. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

You are cordially invited to attend the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area's Annual Fur Ball Gala and Auction on November 17th at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel. Cocktail reception and silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner, dancing, and entertainment.

This signature, black-tie evening raises vital funds to help HSHA continue our mission of building a better community for pets and people.

This is your opportunity to partner with HSHA to continue to provide for the homeless animals of Central PA. Purchase your tickets today, by clicking here!

Stop by the Pittie Party on October 20 to celebrates the often misunderstood Pit Bull Breed. HSHA invites all animal lovers (and their leashed canine pals of all kinds) to join us for a free, fun-filled day celebrating breed equality. Visitors can enjoy vendors for pets and pet owners, food and drink, a photo booth, a costume contest, kids activities, and adoption and retail specials! Best of all, adoptions of resident HSHA Pit Bulls will be 50% off.

Get Involved...VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are a vital part of the HSHA team. Without them, we would not be able to perform many of the essential functions at our shelter. HSHA is always looking for dedicated and committed volunteers to assist with the shelter animals and some of the everyday responsibilities of shelter life. Whether you are interested in walking dogs, helping at events, or socializing cats, there is a place for you at HSHA. The animals are waiting for you ... get started today! For more information, click here.

In March, the Department of Medicine at PennState Health of Milton S. Hershey Medical Center collected donations for the residents of HSHA for their spring service project. The array of goods have made a huge difference in caring for the many animals at the shelter! Thanks PennStateHealth we appreciate you.
