A View From The Garage

Had to move the toys out to finish up building a queen size bed. They're all started right up, and ran good. Got the project done too. Now, beer and some grilling. It's been a good day.

I had a day like that once. Five cars, Motorcycle, and Boat, all started and ran good. BUT I also had that day when even my watch stopped.

Looks to be a generous amount of room In some new places, you can barely walk between the houses

I am going to miss my neighborhood when I move, 1000+ feet between houses.

Re: A View From The Garage

Our house in Michigan had about 200 feet between neighbors. This one has about 25 feet. For our first couple of years here the house on the D side was vacant while the one on the B side had a real cool older couple. They're both gone and we now have an "overly" friendly guy who wants a best friend. He a good guy but deaf and loves cars and real loud music. He wants to talk a while every time he sees us. Some land baron bought the other house and rented it anybody who has twenty dollars in their pocket. It's up for sale again. Lots of room behind the houses. We're gettin used to it. Still a great place to live.

Don't come visit So Cal. Those would be considered estate size lots in the vast majority of neighborhoods.

I thought California was dreaming up some new law to penalize folks doing just that,,,because you EARNED that money in California and now your taking it out of state when you retire so they are going to have a "special" tax for you folks!!

as far as Im concerned the west coast can slide into the ocean, same as the east coast,, leave the middle part of the country
Arizona would be PERFECT if it was on the ocean

California levies state income tax on 401k withdrawals of money earned while working in California whether you live there or not. That has been the case for many years.
