45-degree cut on tailpipe

any tips as to cut a tailpipe tip hate the pea shooter look

Turn down and cut pipe parallel to the ground

Way back when....
I cut mine with a Sawzall. Just marked it carefully with a sharpie and cut. I looked at pics of originals to try to mimic the same type of angle.

Recently I purchased a new exhaust system and they came with the factory angled tailpipe tips.

This works great. I used a hacksaw and finished with a file.

A fellow member had an original exhaust. I grabbed a pic and used it to cut mine to match. Its not quite 45 deg.

FWIW I bought these DynoMax tips (2 1/4" in to 2 1/2" out). My exhaust (2 1/4") already was slanted behind rear wheel. Amazon was 1/2 the $ as Summit. I welded them on

I am installing a new system and wanted to shape before full install
wanted to use original look before cutting off and having dumps behind the wheel I can always do that later if desired
