First gen? they are super hot right now. off the charts. maybe cause GM played trucks with one.
Old Jeep Wagoneers are a hot ticket too.

I have always been a "2-door" kind of guy, so I do NOT see the appeal of the Jeep Wagoneers... However, my friend used to drive a full-size, 2-door 'Cherokee Chief' (mid-late 70's model)... I liked that thing (basically a 2-door Wagoneer)...

As for the early Broncos, yeah, they are a hot trend right now... The ONLY reason Musclecars are so expensive, is that they were trendy too... And still are to a large extent...

If Chevelles weren't trendy in the 80's and 90's, they probably be dirt cheap now, but probably no replacement parts available either...

Once you go RAT, you never go back...

Re: Am i missing something ?

I think it's because the whole "Look at me in my decked out mallcrawler" Jeep fad is so hot right now, older Jeeps and Bronco prices have went thru the roof.

Also, all the new trucks are $40k and up so every old restored truck has also gotten very hot as well... Have you seen all the the LS swap restomod trucks at BJ and Meacum. They are bringing serious cash too.

Which is crazy, cuz about 5 years ago all these vehicles weren't bringing jack and you could pick them up all day for cheap.

Re: Am i missing something ?

Old Broncos, at least the 66 to 77 era ones have been way expensive for as long as I can remember. I had an 82, and it was not in that group, although it was a really good truck. Someone is also reproducing the early Broncos, but starting over $100k. I am seeing CJs now a bit less than they use to be. Its amazing how much 50s and 60 trucks are going for too.

Are there any left? Even ones that I knew of that still were around here 15 or so years ago, have long since dissolved.

I sold one about 15 years ago. It was a 79, with a 345 and a 4spd. It had faded original paint and it’s original vinyl graphics. I don’t think it spent much time if ever in a garage. The only rust it had was roughly a 3 inch square section between the windshield and the drivers fender. You still occasionally see them around here, often parked in driveways. I’m sure many in this area that survived due to the temperate climate have made their way back east or overseas.

Re: Am i missing something ?

Was going to say "OJ Simpson" but then realized thread was about the earlier bodies. Then this door should be worth quite a bit. Just a challenge to find that person who absolutely needs it. Local yard has one or two Internationals but they are the larger "1010?" crewcabs. Weird numerical designation on those. Not as desirable, yard likely crushed the desirable ones (with good bodies) when they needed beer money sometime in the nineties.
