Great work and great results, Oliver. "El Gato Negro" looks mean...what does it weigh?

Do your burn out at the same rpm and for the same amount of time every time.

You wil get your 60’ down, but will need time to play with that. Tire air pressure, and shock settings. I haven’t worked with a rear suspension like yours, just leaf spring car, but Mark and others can help you with that.
The 60 foot will come down when the car isn't instantly shifted at the hit of the throttle into 2nd gear @ 5200 RPM or lower, the converter doesn't even lock up at 5200 RPM. The cars potential is incredible.

No , this is the only " track" , it a rented airstrip which is certified as a track for 3 days for this race. They have been in the past years other airstrips but they are not prepped at all and not "official" races

This race is valid for points in the European Pro et / Super Pro et bracket championship so the track is the best we have in Italy , the organisation do the best they can to put a great race and show , the surface is asphalt so its not ideal but nevertheless they are also pilots and they do the best to prep it maybe 100ft out

Re: El Camino - strip car build :)

Great job, Oliver!

I love how the video looks like it could have been filmed here in the States....but the PA announcer is speaking Italian.

What I love even more is the American Flag hanging from the rear view mirror!

Well done, Oliver.

p.s. - I really miss Italy!!!

Re: El Camino - strip car build :)

You left in 2nd gear on purpose ?
Did you foot brake off off 1500 RPM ?
What is your torque convertor , 4500 flash ?
