My 67 Chevelle street car has a S&W racecar back half frame in it with ladder bar suspension. They sell a pretty nice kit.

My Nova drag car has a Chris Alston kit in it. I have used these in the past with great results.

As to getting started, gotta get her up off the ground on steady stands with the tires off. Get you frame rails marked on the floor (inside and out)
and they spray clear over those marks so you don't lose them. Then get busy.
I was getting ready to back half my first car so at a show I asked a guy who had just finished his car "what is the hardest part of the project?" He replied "first cut". Once you cut the floor and entire frame out from under it you don't have much choice but to keep moving forward and fix it.

Here's a link to my current Nova project. I have pictures in there of this before the floor went back in.
