    No problemo

    Avoid Boss Hog torque converters.
Don't shim between your torque converter and flex plate on a 2 piece rear main seal SBC regardless of what you may have read on the interweb. You will grind off the amount of material those shims take up off your rear thrust. I know that for a fact.
The TCI lockup kit is OK, but the vacuum switch is goofy. Do some research. There are better adjustable vacuum switches out there that you can use with the TCI kit.
The TCI governor weight kit might come in handy to move hard throttle shift points up. The 700R4 shifts early typically.
Take off the tall shaft housing and check how long the splined section is on the shaft. If it is only about 4 inches of splines you need a short Corvette yoke. Otherwise, you can use a standard size yoke. 7 inches is typical I believe.
I would attach flexible transmission cooler lines to the trans before shoving it in.

    You'll figure the rest out

Not trying to copycat you, but I see we have similar '65's. I am looking at swapping in a 700r4 (But not FI, I'll stick with a carb for now)
Any tips , tricks, hurdles that I might want to be aware of with swapping in this trans? Thanks!
