They came for it yesterday

After 36 and a half years I sold my 68 GTO. I had that car longer than I think just about anyone. But times change and so do people. I'm reliving my youth since I decided to buy a 2005 GTO. I really do feel like a kid in a candy store. Haven't felt this excited about anything since I met my second wife. By the way she is all for this new purchase, she is the best and so cool. I know I made the right decision to sell the Goat.

I just got home from work. It's 11:36 Eastern time here. I was just a kid when I bought my 68, it was a great time back then. There were so many cars you could buy it was a real dilemma as to which one to get. I had just come back from Vietnam and only had 6 months to go before getting discharged, a friend of mine at Fort Belvior Virginia had a 68 and was smoking everone,442's, Road Runners,Chevelles, Camaro's and then the 68 was named car of the year and that did it for me.I got out of the Army in July and bought my Goat in August. I had a real blast for alot of years in that awesome car.

I have my 68 firebird convertible that i bought in 76 up for sale. One guy was very interested. Took it to his mechanic and all.

I thought it would be tougher to part with it after 28 years, now I want it out. I want someone else to finish the job of restoring/re restoring it and enjoying it. Time to pass the torch.
