I have a 68 GTO that hasn't been ran since 1999. It was parked due to a fire that burned the engine wiring harness. It has the original YS 400 in engine with a mild rebuild done. (I have no idea as to previous owners definition of mild rebuild is. He has since passed away.) It has headers, a Mallory dual point distributor (Part#2558001) and Mallory Voltmaster Mark II ignition coil (part #28675 ). I'm looking to change the distributor to a MSD Ready to Run Electronic Distributor (part #8528 ). I'm also changing the alternator to an internally regulated unit. I purchased a new engine wiring harness from OPGI for the new alternator and distributor. I will also be installing Dakota Digital Gauges (a bit spendy I know, but I really like them.

Has anyone else went this route and if so....please help.
