Hot Restart Issue - 64 Impala

I have a 64 Impala with a hot restart issue. It has a 283 with an Edelbrock Performer intake and 600 carb (with electric choke) that were installed in the last 6 months. The car starts and runs great when it's cold. If you run it for 20 minutes or so and then shut it off (run into the store, etc...) then come back out to start it again, it does not want to restart. You have to pump the accelerator like crazy to get it to start. Once it's started it will run great again and doesn't sputter or die. The clear fuel filter does not have much fuel in it at all, and I can remember a few years back it would have a bit that stayed in it at all times.

The only things I can think of at this point are a fuel leak (my mechanic couldn't find any leaks), and possibly a vapor lock from the fuel line getting too hot. Not sure how/where else I could reroute the fuel line if this is the issue.

I've tried the following with no improvement:
-New fuel pump
-New gas cap (to eliminate the chance of fuel leaking back into the tank)
-New fuel filter
-New fuel line from pump to carb

Any assistance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
