disc brake conversion kit for 1964 impala

I am considering a disc brake conversion kit for my 1964 Impala, however, I have 14 inch ss cragar wheels, I found a kit from POL on line. this kit says may not work with 14 inch wheels, but it also says that it will work with 14 inch after market wheels designed for disc brakes. has anyone out there put disc brakes on a 64 with 14 inch cragars?
Thanks

I would look at this as an excellent opportunity to buy two new 15 inch tires in the width and shape of your desire. You can find similar Cragar SS wheels in any size you might need used on e-Bay. This is because even when these cars where new the industry was migrating towards 15 inch wheels. Today about the only tires being made for 14 inch wheels are trailer tires. They have a load range of C or D or even an E rating.

Cragars start out with a steel wheel and then mount inside of it a cast aluminum center that is then riveted to the steel wheel. The whole thing is solder sealed and then polished to a mirror shine before being chromed. This reduces the amount of room inside the wheel which will probably interfere. If you look on the inside of the wheel and see a curved area of negative space then it may clear a brake caliper.
