68 Impala Tubular Control Arms

Got my Ebay Tubular control arms on they were not bad to install at all very good quality other than the junk ball joints they come with.

Did you replace the ball joints or just run the ones that came with it??

I'm thinking about getting those also. Looks like your front end is sitting right about where I want mine to sit. Did you use dropped spindles or cut springs???

thanks,
Brian

I replaced the lower ball joints with moog ball joints had about $100 dollars in them but still much better than the price of Global west or Hotchkis arms. I'm running A 2" spindle and exactly 1 coil cut the car seems much lower in person than it does in pictures. Changing out the arms was the best thing I've ever done to a vehicle it drives like a dream. I will try to get some pictures of my front end tonight. My last modification to front will be Global west strut rod I don't believe our friends in China make one.....

Not sure what the name is but was a very common color. This car has 100% factory paint mother nature faded it out perfectly to almost look like it was painted with a flat paint. Grill lower Valance and emblems are Plasti Dipped so I didn't ruin the factory parts.

You can post the paint code and it can be identified that way (assuming original paint). The paint code is the two letter code where the leters are generally separated by a hyphen. Not surprisingly it is generally found on the trim tag next to the word PAINT.

I like it. Reminds me of my military days when everything was painted to protect metal from corosion. That color reminds me of the Zinc-Chromate paint of the cockpit of old planes left out to bake in the sun. I just wish they had painted boats something besides grey or beige. Gets very monotonous on something the size of an air craft carrier.
