Disc break upgrade Garage Labor quote?

I want to get some work done by a local garage on my 67 SS but want to get a feeling for their quote if its reasonable/fair or exaggerated.

I am thinking about an engine upgrade and I guess that should come with a Front Disc Break upgrade.

They quoted Labor: 7.6 hours ?

Is that fair for labor? Thanks for your feedback.

On this one you won't find a disc brake upgrade in the flat labor book. It will bill out as hours to complete as that have no idea going in what will be required,. Different kits are more complete than others. The fitment varies wildly from kit to kit depending upon the parts sourced. Brackets need to be mounted to your steering knuckle or the steering knuckle changed out for a different one.

In 1967 Chevy used Corvette disc brakes on the Impala, but it required a special wheel hub that is no longer sold or reproduced.
