67 2dr. fast back on a 65 2dr frame?

Hello, Will a 67 2 door fastback impala sit on a 2 door 65 impala frame? Any differences ANYWHERE??? Front, sides, rear, steering parts, rear suspension parts? All help would be appr. My frame to my 67 2dr. fastback is bad and I have a chance to get a super clean 65, but I wanted to make sure things were still cool..... Thanks

First Question: Yes!
Second Question: Yes!

The first year car of any new series is almost guaranteed to be different from what follows as the bean counters descend upon the car and figure out how to maximize corporate profits by changing the new design so that it is cheaper to make, and to modify the engineering that went into the change in power train and suspension so as to make it cheaper to make, even at the cost to your safety (engineers habitually build in a 50% safety margin which bean counters see as a justification to remove 60% to save money).

Off the top of my head in just reading what other have said on this board there is a difference in the length of the rear control arms and in the front frame horns where the bumper and fascia attach. Though I am not positive.

You can use the 1965 frame under your '67, but it isn't a direct bolt in. At a minimum new holes will need to be drilled and you may have to change one set of control arms for another; one again based solely on memory (which in my case is suspect).

Yea, they are different. Body mounts line up , but bumpers will need to be re drilled. Front and rear suspensions are different.

Thanks much, I have all the 67 front & rear suspension. I will do a mock set-up when the frame arrives May 6th. In the mean time I have been cleaning all the suspension part. 50 years of crime and corruption.
