1965 Chevy impala update wire Harness?

I want to upgrade the whole car wire Harness. I will only put an alarm, may be a 200 watt sound, gauges, HD lights, I have a 350 motor. what would be my best choice? I'm not really an electrical guy but I can do some research I have read some postings and it looks like I have two choices what would be my choice to go? And what about alternator how much juice would I need?
Would I have to buy anything else?
And also in term of money I'm in a budget.
Thanks.

I would recommend buying from American Auto Wire only call them ahead of time for a customized harness that will have the correct size wire (8 gage minimum) from the one wire CS alternator to your power distribution points ,and of course the battery. That will allow you to tie in your alarm and any other future features. The stereo can be fed from the battery directly to your amplifier by way of a 10 gauge wire (for future growth, other wise a 12 gage wire will handle the 16 ampere load).

This way you have new wires and more importantly new insulation. A one wire CS battery starts at 105 Amps of power just off idle. You can buy one that will still bolt in place of your existing SI alternator that probably outputs 36 to 57 Amps (it is marked on top of the alternator) that didn't out put rated power except at almost full power.
