Door Jam Switch Issue

I have a 63 Impala SS. I was replacing a broken door jam switch. When I screwed the old one out; the wire(s) was not attached to the switch. Apparently it came off and is inside the frame. Does anyone know how to get to the wire to reattach it?

Should be able to reach the wire from on top of the kick board and fish it through the hole for the switch, if not you will have to remove the kick board. Wire is attached by a reusable electrical connector. Should be a white or orange wire.

Assuming the terminal on the wire didn't rust away. It is made of a clad mild steel crimp on wire terminal that plugs into spades on the new switch.
