Radio pieces

While cleaning the outside of the radio, these pieces fell out. They look like broken pieces. Anyone know what they are, or do? They came out of a 63 radio. I haven't tried to test it without knowing what these pieces are. Any help???

I suspect they are the spring brass grounding fingers that pressed against the dash enclosure to help eliminate static from the spark plugs and assure a good signal (or as good as you where going to get with an AM radio back in the sixties). Though I am not certain.
