Newbie Help Needed

Hello all,
1968
396/TH400

Something is slowly draining my battery. Last night I noticed the two wires going to the convertible top switch under the dash were warmer than everything else around them. Noticeably warmer. The top was down. Could this be the source of the drain? I SUCK at electrical debugging. Thanks for any replies.

The warm wire sure makes it seem possible, but it could just be the electric top switch is stuck not the electric top motor.
Do you happen to own a multimeter?

If you don't own any kind of a tester, try unhooking the power to the switch. I am thinking there's a circuit breaker under the hood, mounted on the firewall likely near the brake booster. Pull the wire off that goes into the car from the breaker and see if the problem goes away.
