66 console guage pack wiring

Hi all, I have a 66 Impala with console and the guage package, I have to rewire the battery charge/discharge guage.would this be wired one terminal to the alternate and the other to the positive battery terminal? Thanks in advance.

Ammeter

One wire goes to the horn really the other to the battery junction block.

Thanks for your reply. Did you mean hook one wire to the horn relay? The other to battery power. Thanks Ian

PS someone had previously told me to hook up the way I originally mentioned, I just removed the wire from the alternater and unfortunately it fell and arced out on a bracket. Now the needle on the guage is facing down instead of up,is this fixable or do I need to send the guages away to be rebuilt again. Thanks Ian
