Question Dome lights stay on in my '62

OK folks:
After replacing both door jamb switches on my '62 and confirming they are working as designed (bench-tested, solid wire connections and seated in bare metal holes) the dome lights stay on when both doors are closed. Rotating the headlight switch knob doesn't shut them off either and I suspect it must be faulting internally.

Is there anything else that can over-ride the dome lights circuit?

Power to light is always hot. It is the door switch grounding oit that closes the circuit. You have a short to groud somewhere in the dome light wiring. It is usually found under the door sill were screw or metal panel edge cuts the insulation on the wire.

Thanks again Big Dave, I concur and will begin the always-popular wire tracing and under-dash explorations! Wish me luck!
