Bypassing the neutral safety switch

I'm repairing my 66 auto console and have completely removed it along with the wire harness. How can I bypass/jump the neutral safety switch so I can still start the car. Thank you, guys

Set it in the drive position and use a tie strap to keep the switch in that position. I assume this is a temporary condition while you repair something?

I have mine completely removed (console) but the neutral safety switch is attached to the shifter, which is still in the car. You can keep it attached and plugged in whily you work on your console.
