Gas gauge not working

Looking for info on why gas gauge is not working on my 67,possible electrical issue or m I looking for something else.Not sure if it is a possible float this float easy access.Any information on this is appreciated.Thank You.

Probably electrical in nature but either way you will need to drop the gas tank. Two straps secure the tank in place and the wiring and the float are accessed from the top of the tank.

Thats what I was thinking,Will be dropping the tank this weekend and replacing fuel sending unit and hope that does the trick,Thanks for the info.

Before dropping it look for the lead wire coming from the sender and trace it. it ends up in the tail ight harness. I think there is also a ground. My car sat for 16 years before I got it and the gas guage didn't work. I ran my hand up above the tank and by jiggling the wires it came back.

99% of the time it is a bad ground connection. Loose, corroded, or broken wire.
