04 impala cold start issue

Im hopeing someone can give me some ideas on this i want to try and work it before the winter really kicks in. I have a 04 impala police version 140,000 miles on it on cold mornings the first time i start up the car sometimes it starts just fine a little longer crank time but after a few seconds of running it begins to sputter and almost stall it makes a lot of noise when this happens and recovers on its own and runs just fine but the last time this happend i accdently pressed the window switch while it was happening and car stalled instantly there is also a little sqeeking on cold starts sounds like it comes from the alternator the sqeek goes away once the engine gets up to operateing temp. i replaced the belt not even 6 month ago when i got the car so im pretty sure its not the belt not even sure if its related to the stalling issue if anyone has any ideas id love to hear them lol thanks

Love to offer some help Aaron, but I'm a carburetor guy. Have no clue about computer controled EFI motors.

This board is for B-bodies (your car is based upon the M-body front wheel drive V-6 body) which includes the Impala, Caprice, Kingswood wagon, as well as the Biscayne, and Bel Air made from 1958 to 1999. Here we talk about beating back rust and trying to find parts that haven't been made in 40 years. Our interests are in hot rodding and restoring old American rear wheel drive, full frame, American made V-8 powered cars.

There may be a Chevrolet technician reading this board that fixes old cars for a hobby that may be able to assist with some advise, but I can not say when or if he will respond.
