They don't have any "W" motor powered 1964 big Chevy car owners on the 348-409 forum? Or they don't like the owners? Chevy made the 409 in 1964 (and through the first three months of 1965 as well for a rare engine option) so what is not to like?
I'm not sure if your talking about a new poll or the old poll we had over there a year or two ago, but it's true, in various polls, the '64 in the group of '61 to '64 Impala's usually is last or near the bottom. But, not in my book. To me the '64 is is my 2nd favorite. My order would go '62, '64, '61, '63.
The '64 SS also has just about the nicest interior of any Impala ever made in my opinion.
Craig, '58 to '70, that's the one. We were trying to figure out who voted against one members beloved year of '61 and I started the idea of putting our cards on the table and started listing the order of the years, LOL. Is it still available on the search feature? If it is you will see that I got the '64 higher on the list than most do.
I drove '71 and '72 Impala's straight for 21 years. I still have one driver left as a spare car, as well as many parts cars.
