1966 Impala video 572 BBC w/ 6 spd

Not sure if any of you have seen this video or not. I began to drool uncontrollably after watching this video

Notice once he gets past four grand in any gear the tires start slipping! He could have started off in fourth gear and just left it there while smoking the tires for half a mile rather than running through the gears like that. Tires wouldn't stop smoking till he was getting close to 80mph, which is tough to get that fast with wheel speed three to six times ground speed, tires hardly ever get a chance to catch up.

That is awesome! There's no way that car is "5000 pounds plus". A close ratio six speed is a waste with that engine. Listen to it pop on rev limiter! It would probably be more fun with a powerglide and maybe even see some daylight under the front tires too. You would probably lose a stoplight drag race to a F**D because of traction issues! Still, I wouldn't complain if I owned it!

Holy Impalas, Batman! Kinda makes my 327 4-door hardtop look like a girly sissy car! Oh well, my wife would kill me if brought that home . . . .
