One step closer.....

with building a replica to the "Supernatural" Impala. We just got the Caprice corner lights for it, so I had to put them in. They aren't wired yet and I discovered some rust that needs to be dealt with, but I had to see what they looked like in the car.

.....Sam and Dean would be proud!

Looks like it's comming right along. I always thought the cornering lights were way cool, and they should have been on more models.

We just found another one local to us. The same white exterior, blue interior car. It even had the same running gear. (283/PG) If I didn't know any better, I'd swear they took a picture of this car for the ad. (except with straight fenders) They only wanted $900 for the car, so I may be getting another parts car. We'll see.

No, not really. "Supernatural" is a TV show where two brothers go around the country battling demons and such. They're the good guys. They drive a black '67 four door hard top Impala. My wife fell in love with the car, so I got her one. When it's done, it'll be a replica of the TV car.

I did some tinkering today with the car. Then I pulled it out of the garage and washed it for a photo op. I think it turned out pretty good considering there's hardly any paint on the car.

I just mounted the tires on the correct wheels for the Impala. You would think that chrome saw blades would be easy to find used. Nope, dang near impossible. I had to break down and buy a new set. They were only $272 for a set of four from Summit, but I was hoping to find a used set somewhere. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow of them.

I also fixed the rear bumper. The one that came on the car was bent. The two ends were ok, but the center was twisted bad. The bumper on my parts car was straight, but someone TORCHED bumper jack holes in them. I took my good ends, and the parts car good center section and made one nice bumper.

......slowly but surely.

That was the main reason we bought the 67 we have - the Supernatural show. My wife even calls it "Supernatural". Ours is a two door though. Stupid question, are you going with black?
