Dark Corners and Tall Grass!!!

I'm a Sheriffs Deputy in ND, so.....I get to see a lot of country on patrol. Here are a few gems I found.

This first one looks to be a 1963 Impala and the second is what I think to be a 64 Belair in pretty good shape.

the 64 belair? If I had my way (I eventually will), I'd buy these up and put them in my back yard, but unfortunatly I have to wait till I buy my own house out of town next summer. I can wait.

Tell them you need to impound the cars for evidence. Gross neglect of a vintage Chevy.

Both photos you show in your first post are of a '62 Impala 4-door sedan. I've never seen a 4-door sedan 62 impala, especially with the bumperettes.

I own a '62 Bel Air 4-door sedan. That car looks good though.

With a little luck both of these Chevys will be in my shop before winter. Cars like these can be had for a jig and a smile....... if your lucky!

My uncle has recently restored a '64 Impala to original, that reminds me I know where there is a '64 sittn in the brush. I'll try and get some photos of that one as well.

Cool- I'm surprised there's not the usual rust holes in the passenger rear quarter of that first picture.

My guess it was parked in the late 70's and avoided the relentless salt covered roads in the 80's and 90's, saving it from certain rusty quarters.

My '67 was last licensed in '91 but it still has some rusty quarters. It was a one owner car (grandma of course), Grandma lent it to her niece to drive, the niece and her boyfriend put dents in it and wrecked the 283, and it has been parked ever since. In fact her name is on the original title and sales paper work.

Found another Impala in some tall grass....1962 v8 Sport Coupe! I saved it from a guy who, in his yard, crushes towed in cars. I'll have photos up soon.

neat pics

sounds like neat finds. too bad youre' not closer, yard here would let the 60 bel air coupe, sedan and 59 el camino carcasses go for scrap weight at this point. all have good frames and many hard parts left.

As promised some pictures of the '62, but upon further inspection it will need more than previously thought. The car has some rear end damage and the front clip is mostly gone.BUT.......it is still mine and if it can't be fixed it has lots of good parts. Enjoy!

The inside of the car is filled with trim, moldings, it has the front and rear seats, and has all the dash componants. As you can see the trunk wil be stripped and junked.
Picture of the rear end.
