Taillights are done!!**new pics**

I was staring at the back of my car today and got an interesting idea. How do you think the taillight area would look painted black? Probably more of a flat black or a satin so it's not too shiny. Here is a quick paint shop thign I did

Now

Idea

If you like it I like it. But it is more important that you like it. It is your car and as such is an expression of you and what you like.

No offense taken, as it's just and idea and I'm debating my feelings as well. Part of me thinks it will look pretty good and make it stand out, the other part is like ehhhh I dunno. It won't be as bright as my paint shop picture, more of a flat black. Kinda like this:

I like the idea but not with white body. I would experiment with shades of gray but black in my opinion gives too much of a contrast.

Ya I would for sure do satin. It's not a white body, it's Capri cream

Well I did it tonight I'll post some pics tomorrow in the daylight but I think it looks pretty good. I used the BBQ black that I had from when I painted the rock sliders on my truck. It's a bit brighter than a flat but little less shiny than satin. I think it worked out nice

Have you thought about smoking the reverse lenses? I think that would look pretty cool.

Could do red but I think that would be kinda plain but that's just me. I just think a nice smoke color would bring it out even more.

I always thought that if you bought another pair of taillight lenses, and reversed them ( the right one in the left back-up lamp, and the left in the right, etc.) - and then replaced that Biscayne bumper (since you need one anyway) with a CAPRICE bumper (didn't they have the reverse lights in the bumper?) - that it would look kinda cool and unique. Never tried it though.. I haven't owned a '67 Chevy since 1978!

I'm not partial to the black in-sets.. but if YOU like it - then it's cool! You gotta like your own ride!

Chevrolet use to paint the back panels flat black on several 60s and 70s SS cars. I think it looks good.
