Starting the new project, my '66 Sport Coupe

So I tried to sell the car as a whole and got no serious calls. My brother wanted it then didn't. Then I tried to part it out and got no serious calls. Apparently, I'm destined to keep this so I might as well get it in the garage and start working on it.

This weekend, I'm gonna lift the body off, roll the chassis in and start there. Full disassemble, strip and reassemble. This build will be mostly a stock restoration with a couple minor changes/upgrades like disc brakes. If I fall into a huge hole full of money, it’ll get air bags, but I’m not holding my breath.

I’ll post as I go and I’m sure I’ll have questions as I go so guys like Big Dave really ought to watch for some good stumpers… Like this one; where can I get chassis dimensions for my ’66 2 door sport coupe? I’d like to build a temporary cart to place the body on while I’m working over the chassis and would like to have one built before lifting the body off. I did this with my ’34 coupe and it was a blessing to have.

Thanks and stay tuned.

I've been wondering what you were doing with that car.

Someone on here built a body-cart and posted pics recently, hopefully we'll hear from them.

Chassis sizes:

Check the Fisher Body Service Manual or the Assembly manual.
