oil filter adaptor

I have a 1964 impala 283 powerglide. I am thinking about replacing the old canister with a spin on oil filter adaptor. Is this a simple job? also does anybody know of pros and cons. If I do this I plan to keep the old canister for originality purposes......The car is original Thanks Wade

it's a very simple process... everything you'll need will come in the kit. the new adapter will bolt on top of the stock by-pass. a square o-ring/seal will install under the adapter and you're done. now grab the spin on filter and go to town
