Updtaes on my 62 SS:

Here are some updated photos of my ongoing 62 project. I'm planning on taking it for paint around 12/1 now.

Here is what I ended up with for a lower steering column to run the new Borgeson 600 based box:

I ran 2 IDITIT polished
stainless u-joints because I wanted the pinch bolts and not the set screw type.
Floors all in and POR-15'd

Trunk and inner wheel well work finally done too.

Used to look like this:

Are you going to keep that small air cleaner on it? If so you really should get a bigger one.

Definately NOT keeping that air cleaner. It's just a dust cover for now.

Floor

Whats up with the floors? looks like you did some fab work where the floor transitions to the tranny tunnel!

I had to raise the tunnel because the height of my Tremec TKO 600 5 speed rubbed on the stock tunnel.

The back bone of the TKO is so high and wide, the tunnel had to be raised. Do not just drop the tailshaft down to get clearance, it will throw your drive line angles way off.
