Question 59 impala help

I am working on 1959 chevy impala. It has a 348 motor in it. I'm been working on it. I'm getting ready to turn it, to a rat rod. I have a question, would I have to change the motor mounts for me to put in a 350 motor, when i take out the 348 motor. Could you help me?

All 1958 and up to 1968 used the same motor mounts so a 350 SBC will bolt in.

Why get rid of the 348? The 350 is so common. And, the Rat Rod fad is getting old. Is the car really that far gone? Why not build something original?

Thumbs up 59 impala

The money not there to restore. I really like the look of a rat rod. I'm going to keep the 348 in the corner of shop. When I get enough money, then I will put it back in. Thanks for the chat...

Yeah, I was just about to tell you, if you're gonna throw away that 348, you can throw it MY dumpster!

Keep the engine, if you don't, hang on to my name and number at least.

Don't listen to me, what do I know? I've only been doing this for 30 years.
