Glass question for '66 B-body

In the process of trying to pull my Biscayne's front windscreen, I cracked it. Are all front windscreens the same for all the B-bodies?

If so, I have a Impala Sport Coupe rear glass that I'll happily trade for an equally good front.

Vance

Vance,
A windshield for your car is very inexpensive. I would check with a local glass company, they are usually less than $200.

If you can't find any locally Auto City Classics has them for $139

Much better than putting in a used one since they will probably have chips and/or scratches in them anyway.

Good luck

I went through their cost estimator and got a price of 177.95 for an Impala 2 door coupe but got a 212.95 for a Biscayne 2 door sedan maybe the molding is harder to remove or maybe there not the same. Any way you should be able to get them local and not pay alot for shipping since I believe they are national company.

Front Gasket?

Great info, getting ready to replace my front windshield on my 66 4dr post. Can't seem to find a front windshield "gasket" on line anywhere. Does it take a butyl strip? Does it matter that I have chrome trim?

The "gasket" is just 3M rope adhesive sold at any parts store. It generally comes in 3/8", but 5/16" was original.
