4 dr Sedan with 409

Hi my friend owned a 1964 impala 4 dr Sedan with original 409 back in the Eighties. Does any body know how many of that combination was made.

Back then you could order a car any way you wanted it but I have never seen a 409 in a 4 door sedan. For that matter I didnt see many 409s at all even in the SS series

you might be surprised, a friend of mine has a 63 4 dr hard-top with an 09 in it, great for towing back then

Over on another website a original 1962 Impala 4 door wagon with a 409 and 4speed was found after many years of sitting outside in the woods.

My 4 door was bought new by a little old lady, it had a 409, but with gas at .25 a gallon, she had the dealer replace the 409 with a 283.
