1967 Impala frame

Redoing a 1967 impala and have realized that the frame is rotted in a few spots. Do they sell frame pieces or should I purchase a replacement frame?
If I do get a replacement frame what years and models are useable? Any response would be greatly appreciated

It would be much better and ease of mind to replace the frame because you have seen rot but how much do you not see. ???? Safety is the main concern here!Ultimately a replacement would be a 67' but I think 65'-70' are the same with little subtle differances that would not make a differance. If you could pick up a good convertable frame that would be great, they are heavier on the side rails than any other. Hope this helps Luke.

I'm not sure how much heavier the convertible frames are. My '67 Frame is already boxed end to end with 1/8" steel and I have a four door hard top. I wish I read this earlier. I just scrapped a good frame with a parts car I had.

Don't listen to me, what do I know? I've only been doing this for 30 years.

65-66 Impala's are the same,as the iddler arm goes through the frame. 67-70 are the same ,as the iddler arm bolts to the frame. But they all will interchange.

Hey Allen, that's new info. to me on the frame's. I was advised by the majority that convertable frame's were the heaviest. Oh well I guess I learned something new today.
