Ebay Question

I tried to sell my beautiful 1972 Chevy Caprice last week on eBay. I only got one bid and then the person never paid for it. Have other people sold on eBay and had success? Any advice before I re-list it? Here's my listing - https://www.ebay.com/itm/183373984728?ul_noapp=true

Thanks!

Even though others have had some good luck through the years, I was never a fan of E-bay.

Just curious, if you don't mind saying. What did it cost you so far?

Friend of mine used to go every Monday to the Auto Auction and buy a third gen or forth gen Camaro. He would then disassemble the car on Tuesday; photographing every part and sell those parts on Craig's List. He used to sell on flea-Bay but he had too many bad buyers who either didn't pay, or didn't order a part that fit their year car and wanted to return it at his expense. When he refused (said no returns in the ad) then they left a bad comment. On Craig lists he had no issues, and was selling $3K a week (He rarely paid more than $1K for a running car). Come Friday what ever didn't sell went to the crusher.

This is how I came to have three third gen Camaro's in my backyard as the bodies and interiors were fine just missing parts to convert a std Camaro to a Z or IROC. I bought one for $75 because it had a narrowed 12 bolt 4.11 posi in it, and another for the disc brakes on the rear end (IROC), and one for the LT interior. All going to be combined as future race car (the 12 bolt car has a full cage in it).

It doesn't cost anything if it doesn't sell.

I guess they have changed the rules from when I tried it once many years ago. Still don't like it though...

Agreed, Ebay is a mixed bag. Just have to be prepared to expect some BS may come up as you list things.

About that link though, the car looks super clean indead, and is in eye-popping Red/White color combo and BONUS, it's a convertible but still, $25k is a pretty big price to pay for that car. I'm not sure the market has put that value on that body style yet, even as nice as it looks in that listing.
