Powerglide kickdown

My 61is missing the link between the carb and bell housing bracket for the powerglide kick down. I was planning on making a adjustable link between the two, however looking on the net some links have a slotted bar at the carb. I assume this is so the kick down only moves when carb is fully open and not all the time? If that is correct then should the lever also have a spring to keep it in the deactivated direction? Or should I go with my original link idea?
If someone could help with a photo etc on what set up is correct? Thanks

After a bit more research it appears from the Powerglide must be out of a 62 or later not a 61 as the lever looks different than the manual. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to set up the linkages for a later model as I have to custom build the missing linkage that attaches to the carb?
What’s the normal position of the kick down actuator arm on the gearbox? Photo attached. Thanks

Not sure when I will have time, but when I do I will crawl under my 63 and get you a picture. I'm pulling my PG out and going back in with a muncie 4-speed for more fun.

Thanks, can you please confirm the the way the arm works. After playing with it feels like it free wheels with no resistance and then engages in the last few degrees. I assume you rotate the arm anti clockwise as far as possible and that should be at the same point as full secondary on the carb?
