Need picture of throttle pedal assembly

Could somebody post a picture of the original throttle pedal assembly (both gas pedal/mount inside and the rod outside in engine bay)? I have a throttle wire now instead of rod. That doesn't work properly so I am looking to get it back to the original state. I have 70 wagon but I think similar setup was used from mid-60s (or maybe even earlier).

Thanks.

Hey Alex,
I have two 70's. One built in 9/69 has mechanical linkage. The other, built in 5/70, has a cable linkage. You should try to fix the cable, because you would need to get an entire assembly to go back to the mechanical.

The throttle was changed to a cable in 1969-'70 as required by federal law to correct an unsafe condition with a mechanical rod and broken motor mounts (this was the result of a national safety recall in 1968).

There are a number of longer or shorter cables available in the bone yard to retain your cable system (length varries by motor type and model of vehicle).

Thanks for replies. My cable linkage is not original. It is an aftermarket Mr Gasket or something like that. The gas pedal assembly is not straight so I need to replace it. I was thinking of getting a whole setup from junk yard but need pictures to see how it is installed. Want to make sure my car was setup with rod before I purchase the replacement parts.

I have a 65 with the engine removed if you want a photo of the throttle rod on the firewall.

These are of my 65 parts car. 2 Photos of the firewall and one inside at the toe board.

Thanks for the pictures Larry. I have reviewed them and it looks like my setup is different. I guess originally I had the wire not the rod. Now, I have to find out if the current setup is properly routed.
