GM Nationals June 25 - June 27, 2010

Has anybody ever attended the GM Nationals in Carlisle, PA?
Is it a big event with a large display of parts for sale?
And is there an offering of alot of GM cars for sale?
Let me know if you've attended in the past.
I'm thinking of going this year.

I've attended the Carlisle, PA Fall Swap Meet and Car Corral and it is amazing.
This year the Fall Meet is September 29 - October 3, 2010.

Also, every year after this event is the Hershey, PA Collector Car Meet.
This year their Fall Meet is October 6 - October 9, 2010.

The two shows are less than 1 hour from each other and they are huge and
have many attendees from all around the U.S. and internationally.
I'm sure the long-distance travellers make it worth while to attend both events.

Michael: Another good show (not exclusively GM) is the Macungie Auto Show - about 1 hour east of Carlisle, almost always on the 1st weekend of August. http://www.awkscht.com/ It's a whole bunch smaller than Carlisle, and very do-able in 1 day. I've been to Carlisle, but unless I'm really hunting for some long-lost part, I stick to smaller shows. See you in Macungie ??

Bigger Shows.

Thanks for the invite but, I'm one of those rare people that loves crowds.
"The more the merrier."

Even if I'm gonna make my way to a local car cruise I want it to be a large one.
"Different strokes for different folks."

So, I'll probably try to attend the GM Nationals if it's large.
That was the reason I asked a team member their opionion of the Nationals.
"Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely."

Carlisle and Hershey Fall Meets (being super-large events) are "right up my alley."

If you don't think I used enough cliches in my post, here's one last one.
"All is well that ends well."

Thanks for the info.

I like the Carlisle show. Heavy on Camaros - but large and a ton of used parts for sale. NIce sized Used Car Corral too - maybe 50+ cars for sale.

here's some old pics.... http://www.media-swap.com/cars/2008_...e_GM_Nationals

You may already know this, or maybe it's too far, but you won't find a larger event east of the Mississippi than Columbus, Ohio Goodguys! 6000 show cars, 100,000 people. Bring good shoes.

Allan:

Columbus, OH is only 3 hours away for me.
It's about the same for me to Carlisle, PA or Columbus, OH.

Any timing on the event.
I guess I can Google for results.

Thanks,
Michael
