Does anyone read the want ads here?

I have posted for several items here and never have had a response. I think maybe no one know the ads exsist.

the site is really still in it's infancy, you guys need to spread the word when you go to cruise nights, car shows and such.

Things have been going in spurts. Nothing much and then a bunch of activity and quiet again.

We are here for the long haul though so patience and cool guys like Jason, Don, yourself and Big Dave really make a difference.

thanks. Al

I read the wanted ads just about every day since I've discovered this site recently. Let me know what y'all need as I might just have it.

I spent all my money on my car so I don't look other than for potential problems that might need some moderation.

I find the same to be true about another forum I'm on for imports. It's been around for almost 8-10 years. I think it's just the nature of forums.

And no, I don't look at the wanted stuff...yet. Probably someday soon though, when I start needing things or posting stuff I have! I'm on the site looking at the "new posts" page multiple times every day though. Good stuff!

Good, Fast, Cheap, but you can only pick two!

I check here every evening, If I have an answer or information, I answer the post, I know others do too. We are all here because we love old cars and want to share the pics, knowledge, and even the things that went OOOPS!.
I don't read the want ads simply because I have no parts to offer.

I love this site! I did not know about the classified ads, but looked them over now. I keep plenty busy (broke) with my 1966 Impala 4 dr hardtop daily driver. The advice and posts on this forum have been invaluable. I would have a tough time keeping "Daphne" as a daily driver without you guys. Thank you!

New to this site and at this point it not only seems that the people here not only don't reply to site Classifieds, they don't reply to anything else either. This site seems very empty and bland compared to my old site at "Corvette Forum". IMHO

I joined this forum few months ago and got great help from fellow members. Even help before I got my car when I was still browsing sales ads. I do not think I had single post that went unanswered. I do not check all the subforums but no way this site is empty.

Having been here for almost a year now, I have no doubt that questions and problems are getting resolved here. Maybe you have some more specifics for us?

Well this is only your second post (the second was a duplicate of the first posted in two places), and since you posted it 24 hours ago you have received four replies. You did mention that you owned a Corvette powered by a second generation small block (Reverse cooling EFI sequential firing batch mode controller with 23 pound stock injectors and a non-programmable computer).

This board is dedicated to B-bodies (Biscayne's, Impalas and Caprices) running carburetors (old iron) and not necessarily to new plastic (Y-body EFI Corvettes) and you are complaining about a lack of response?

By the way Welcome to the Team Hank!

Sometimes I find the titlte and website name confusing.
www.impalas.net

I though the was a site about the Toyota Prius ... darn it.....

Oh well... thank god I now know its about Impala's..
To think if found this site that talks about Impalas when I have had one all along....

(PS: you may sense a bit a sarcasm..)

------------------
On a serious note it may be nice to get some RSS feeds running on the other areas of the website...

As with any forum, the more you put in, the more you get out. Lurkers don't put anything in and therefore ought not to expect anything in return. Yet somehow they do. I ask questions and try to keep things moving that way since I'm as much of a novice in this Impala world as anyone. The more I ask, the more I learn the more I can contribute; just like any forum. This is a good site with a GREAT wealth of knowledge and talent. I can't wait until I'm knee deep in trouble to see just how fast they save my ***. I'm sure I'll be not only surprised but happy as well. Vance

I'm wondering which Corvette Forum you are talking about. If it is www.corvetteforums.com it's really gone down the tubes. It used to be a great site too.
