Allow me to introduce myself... Sunset61

Hello from Roseville, CA. Here is my current project.

This is my 61 sport coupe. It currently has a mild 454 and a turbo 350 but the plan is either a T700R-4 or T-2004-R, drop spindles and disk brakes up front and power steering. Looking forward to turning this into a nice driver and taking the wife and kids to a few shows this summer.

Welcome to the Team Neil!

I vote for the 200R4 (do I get a vote?). This is because the 200R4 is the same size dimensionally as the PowerGlide or four speed that came in the car originally and it can be built to handle the power of a big block for the same price as the 700R4 that is longer and will require you to shorten your drive shaft.

Thanks Big Dave! Yeah I have been contemplating both. Since I own a mild built T700R-4, I save a few bucks on trans but eat the cost of the shortened driveshaft but I have a few mixed reviews on the gear ratios so I'm still on the fence. Either way I'm totally open to a vote. :-D

Welcome Neil! Nice ride, not a big fan of orange on a fullsizer but looks real good on the 60-62's. Is that the Orbit Orange?

Welcome Neil. You ever been to Hot August Nights in Reno? I seem to remember a orange Impala like yours when we were there a couple years ago.

Thanks guys! It wasn't my first choice for color but it was done prior to me purchasing it and it definitely stands out. The color is House of Kolor Sunset pearl.
I have been to Hot August Nights a few times but haven't brought this up yet. This year I'm hoping to bring it up, I just don't know if I will enter in the show this year.
