68 Biscayne Wagon

New boy from Illinois. I just bought a 68 Biscayne Wagon that was an old fire department vehicle from new. It's just a plain jane 307 with a glide and a radio delete. The car only has 50,000 miles with all the original paperwork, P.O.P., window sticker, and original registration from '68. It's a clean, solid car... other than the frame. The floors and rockers are perfect. Now I just have to figure out which way to go, original or not?

Welcome to the Team Greg!

Fire departments kill time between runs (when not cooking and eating) by washing and polishing their equipment. With a class A pumper standing by, and the need to flush hoses before hanging them up to dry I imagine any road salts were flushed out from off the frame (especially when you think that it was the chief or battalion commander driving the station wagon), with the rest of their time spent in waxing and polishing the car. It should be in as good as new condition.

Nice car.

I would go basically original in my opinion.

I was thinking big block/TH400 combo but, keeping the original look. First thing is fixing the frame or finding another one.

Thats sweet I'd stick a grumpy big block in it and leave the paint buy a southern frame and swap it any weekend
