Hi Everyone,

Hi everyone, I just joined and love old vehicles,..I've owned tons of old Chevys and a few other brand rides. Mostly Impalas and Chevelles from the '60s and early '70s,... currently building a '55 Chevy Gasser a childhood dream since I was 8 yrs old in 1973. My next project is a '64 Impala SS waiting under a tarp next to garage behind a privacy fence to stop people like me from bugging owner if its for sale

Welcome to the Team Richard!

I would love to have another '55 gasser (I've owned three in my sorted past). All big block powered with an excessive motor set back causing me to be elevated into the gasser ranks. Of course a BBC running two fours on a tunnel ram with fender well headers didn't help me in trying to pass it off as stock.

Would love to see pictures of your '55.

Big Dave

I last owned a 55 in 1968. I still miss it. I traded it for a free trip to Viet Nam.

Pics of my '55 Gasser

This is one reason I'm selling my '61 348 Impala Sport Coupe. After '55 is running I will be starting on my '64 SS Impala

Funny,,,,most of the time when people see my '55, first thing they ask, "are you building a TLB clone"?....I was going to paint it black but then I would get tired of being asked if its a AG '55 clone . I understand because those two '55s are so popular and its the first thing people think when they see gray primer or a black '55 even though it can be a '55 set up totally different in style. I love the look of both '55s, also love the BadMan '55 too

It was the same car. George Lucas found it and painted it black for the American Graffiti film.

Right Dave,...there was a total of three '55s used in the making of TLB. This has to be one of my top favorite gear-head movies,...they didn't drown out car sounds with music.... Not even much dialog in whole movie... just good ol car sounds...
