So here it is my 62' Impala SS. I have the 409 short block waiting in the wings, and I am in the process of tearing it apart to do a suspension upgrade, break upgrade and other modifications. Looking forward to sharing information and pictures as I go.
Thank you for the welcome. I was brought here by a posting on 348-409 on a members build here (Skim) but here are some additional pictures of were I am at. I think this winter I will get the body off the frame and get into the process of rebuilding this thing. So here is my little helper he likes to come out and help in the process. The other one is just after the removal of the 350 that was in the car.
It's great to see your helper starting out at an early age! I fondly remember "Helping" my grandfather in the garage while he worked on his old Packards...I think by about 5 years old or so I knew the basics of fractions ("Ronnie! I need a 7/16!")
Whereabouts are you in Idaho? I grew up in Sandpoint.
I am in Kuna (Q-una) now but I spent some time up north attending the University of Idaho. He is a good helper he just does not like the loud air compressor so I need to get him some ear protection and I think that we will be set
Well I decided to keep a running blog of my restoration check it out. Leave comments, subscribe, I am going to be adding some restoration book reviews etc to the blog that I will be using for this car.
