66 Impala SS 396 ground up rebuild - Newb

Just found your site, its great. People actually post and share. My wife bought me the 66 as a 25th anniversary present (to keep me around the house I think). Its been a Texas car its whole life. Rust in the typical spots. Tore it down, media blasted, welding in floors, rear qtrs, trunk pans, all metal. No f-glass or bondo. I want to do it right. There are a lot of parts sources new and used for these classics and they are easy to work on. Keep up the good work on the board - sounds like some well schooled guys moderating the thing.

66 Impala SS rebuild - picture link

Thanks for all the kind words. Here is a link to the photos. I just got the car back fro the welders who did a great job on the work. The rust repair was awesome. They are in Round Rock Texas if your looking for resto work of the welding sort. I'll shoot you there number. I also got to hand it to a real true salvage yard in Thrall Tx called Kanttners. 512-898-2320. Two rust free fenders and a door ($275). Anyway, here is the link of the pics.http://s448.photobucket.com/albums/qq210/dstrybos/

Hope the link works, let me know if it does not
