Yes...I tried the avatar. It seems that the picture size, as required on the instructions is acceptable for upload but then.... it gets rejected. No worries. I'll try to post some pictures as attachments within the next few days.
The cheater slicks are made by Hurst. These are supposed to be correct for that year. The front tires are for sure.
I've found some old Impala photos taken at the drags in the early 60's. I'll see if I can get some of them loaded on that site too. It was the first time I used that website. I'm not too good with computers...but the pics were pretty easy to load.
I recall back in the early sixties that alot of older muscle cars had the "hubcaps" off, whitewall or blackwall tires, body coloured steel rims with/without dog dish caps, chromies or just the front wheels sporting mags or chrome rims.
Every once in awhile I find a web site with old nostalgia pics and sometimes someone posts other links along the same lines. I found a link showing two 62's at M&H Raceway. Black and white pics taken in the early sixties. This is basically a flathead engine "information and picture site only", but the author included some other stuff, and is well worth the look at some of the other historical raceway pics.
