I am the researcher and parts sourcer for all the cars my father and I restore together. We are currently working on a 1971 Impala Convertible. We are the third owners of this clean old ride. We have it painted the original color most the the mechanicals are done. We replaced the 350trans with a 7004R for better fuel mileage. We are trying to finish it up soon and we are getting close. Once we complete the convertible top replacement we can put the interior in and finish a few odds and ends. It is neat that the 1971 Convertible was such a low production car only around 4500ish due to union strike. Also the factory louvers in the trunklid are very neat as well. My parts searching and research has brought me here.
If you need parts made to order, and can get your car to the south east corner of Pennsylvania the Amish there can make almost anything in terms of a buggy top to get your convertible functioning again.
