Question reproduction 4 speed trans humps 1960 impala

Just joined. Hope someone may be able to help with info on purchase of repro 1960 imp 4 speed hump panel. Also good source for rear 1/4 panels. Have looked at Sherman and Mill and others, not much luck. Any help will be appreciated. Thanx Dave

Welcome to the Team David!

Over on Team Camaro and Team Chevelle the guys are buying new Ford Mustang four speed humps and modifying them to fit their cars. They use a hump only to fit a console in place, and it isn't a drop on and weld but requires body work and fabrication skills to get it to pass for a Chevy hump. I have never tried it and aside from reading posts have no idea of how it works or even if it will work with an Impala console. In my day I didn't worry about consoles just cutting a hole big enough to give my Hurst Ram Rod shifter enough room to work and covering it with a monster size Hurst Super Boot.

59 is all by itself. Much larger hole. The 60-63 is pretty much the same. 64 did not use a weld in hump. They simply cut a hole in the floor. Not such if they still make the 60-63 hump or not.

Impala Bob

Is Impala Bob still around? Believe he was (or still is) right in your neighborhood.
