Thanks, Dave, Dennis
I bought this 1967 biscayne from two guys that wanted to use the car for racing, but then decided not to (they wanted to put a v8 in it). So, one day, I found it online, saw it and fell in love with it.
It also has an interesting story, this was a UN car! I have some of the paperwork and transfer documents from the UN.
So, about the car! It's a 4 door sedan with a 3 speed manual transmission, it has a 250 L6 engine which I'm trying to figure out if it was swapped for an argentine L6 from our version of the Chevy nova, I haven't been able to find any info related to the engine so this still remains a mistery. It's a pretty basic model, no powersteering, no A/C, basic lap seatbelts and tinted windows.
Right now, it needs lots of love. It's in pretty good shape, but it has some electrical issues (lots of things work, but it's a mistery how and why). Today I'm getting the chassis cleaned up so we can unveil what else might be wrong with her.
Right now it needs some repairs on the steering box (this is a direct translation from what I heard from the mechanic, I bet its name is different in the US), needs a full set of bushings and anything that had rubber in the car, new mufflers, some missing trims (I'm planning to add the impala trims on the rear too, someday), new tires, a new paintjob and some things I cannot recall right now.
From what you'll see in the pictures, it has a champagne blonde color, which as soon as I get the cash I'll change it for the original tuxedo black.
I don't know much about cars, but I intend to learn from my car and keep it until I die. So... I better get along with it! Lol
I'm not sure if you can see this album, but let me know if you can't :P
