I don't know. I had a bucket of fun with my L-88 powered '68 Camaro with a four speed and 4.56 rear cogs. It also had a tunnel ram with two fours sticking through the hood fired by a Vertex mag. Wasn't exactly cruise oriented but it was definitely fast and loud. My cruising car back then was a Corvair convertible with a four speed and four one barrels.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase! Sounds like a perfect vehicle choice. Enjoy your Impala and show us some photos of it 'in action'!

You have a little more room to roam in the chevy vs Camaro and easier to work on. And when you go to a car show you wont be one of 15 similar cars parked together.

As a 68 Camaro and 63 Impala owner also welcome. I like them both in different ways.
